Robin Johnson is a novelist and essayist.

Her debut novel, Cry of the Heart, was released by MilSpeak Books in May 2022 under her pen name, RLynn Johnson. She is also a contributing author to Invisible Veterans: What Happens When Military Women Become Civilians Again, edited by Dr. Kate Hendricks Thomas and Dr. Kyleanne Hunter (2019).

She is a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps ("JAG" for you acronym lovers!). Over the course of her military career, she served in multiple States-side locations, the Republic of Korea, and the United Kingdom. While assigned as an exchange officer with the British Army Legal Services at the U.K. Land Warfare Centre in Warminster, England, she fell in love with southwest England, the setting for her series of cozy mysteries set in Cornwall. Following her active duty service, Johnson worked as a civilian international law attorney for the Department of Defense for 13 years before retiring in 2024. She currently shares her home in Minnesota with her rescue dog, Dot.

She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Hamline University School of Law and is a member of Mystery Writers of America and Sisters in Crime.
